Portrait Gallery Heats Up Ice at Winterlude

The Portrait Gallery of Canada (PGC) was looking to raise public awareness of their priceless collection of portraits that honour high profile, as well as unknown Canadians. Originally planned as an unconventional 'street exhibit', an opportunity to participate in Ottawa's annual Winterlude festivities enabled PGC to display a variety of portraits at ice level under the Bank Street Bridge.

Kolegram provided design, production and ‘logistics support’ to develop this unique outdoor winter initiative. The 4-week exposure of 'Portraits on the Ice' was supported by a smaller-scale street display throughout the Capital's historic Byward Market. This innovative PGC event created considerable positive local and national media coverage and was enthusiastically viewed by many thousands of visitors to Winterlude.
